Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to treat patients of all ages and serve as a clinical resource for staff. This role includes a sign-on bonus and requires an OTA license in Illinois, BLS within 30 days, and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

The OTA will implement therapy plans, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate documentation for reimbursement and quality of care. Collaboration with therapists and the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed OTA in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; collaborates with the care team.
• Produces clear, objective documentation for payers and clinical records.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the supervising therapist and team.
