Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to treat patients of all ages under the supervision of a therapist. The OTA will implement intervention plans, collaborate with families and healthcare teams, and contribute to quality service delivery.

A sign-on bonus is offered. Required are an Associate's Degree, Illinois OTA license, BLS within 30 days, and 1+ year of experience in acute care or related fields.

Qualifications

• Associates degree is required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Illinois.
• BLS certification within 30 days (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of experience in acute care or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions and adapts to patient needs.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and other health care professionals.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Maintains clear documentation to support decisions and payer requirements.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and ensures safe, evidence-based care.
