Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to treat patients of all ages in a rehabilitation setting. An OTA license and an associate degree with 1+ year of experience are required; a sign-on bonus is offered.

You will implement treatment plans, collaborate with therapists and families, educate patients and caregivers, document accurately, and participate in quality activities aligned with the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communication.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions and adapts as needed.
• Collaborates with patient, family and healthcare team.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Documents clearly for payers and compliance with program requirements.
