Job summary

Bertram Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team on a PRN basis. You will plan and administer treatments to residents to improve function and independence under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

You will respond to service requests, ensure plans of care are followed, and document thoroughly. SNF experience and Net Health knowledge are preferred. Join our friendly rehab team today.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist as ordered by a physician.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
