Job summary

North Pointe Nursing in Texas is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will deliver client-centered OT services to residents to improve independence and quality of life.

Under the supervision of an OT and with physician orders, you will implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with nurses, families, and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas OTA license.
• COTA credential required.
• In good standing with licensing boards and agencies.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices and documentation standards.
• Experience with Net Health EDS preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents with disabilities to relieve pain and promote healing.
• Provide services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist per physician orders.
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments follow the established plan of care and document progress.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely according to policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
