Job summary

Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Muncie, IN to support therapists in an interdisciplinary setting. You will implement treatment plans, assist with exercises, document progress, and educate patients and families to sustain progress.

The role requires OTA licensure, CPR (preferred), and 0–1 years of experience, with benefits starting after the first month and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
