Job summary

Synchrony in Muncie, IN is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will assist with therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and adaptive techniques to improve patient independence within an interdisciplinary team.

Must have and maintain OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred. Benefits include weekly pay and comprehensive coverage from day one of the month following start date.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and Certifications: Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
