TheraDynamics in New York is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support skilled nursing patients recovering from strokes, fractures, and cardiac events.

You will assist OTs, design functional interventions to address ADLs and safe discharge planning, and work with nursing, PT, SLP, social work to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible NY OTA license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Assist Occupational Therapist in performing procedures, tests, and complex treatments to ensure safe, effective evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Address self-care skills, cognitive/perceptual deficits, home safety, and caregiver training.
• Apply clinical reasoning to meet productive and patient-centered goals.
