TheraDynamics is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support skilled nursing patients in restoring independence. You will help design and implement functional treatment plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning and high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold an OTA degree, NY license (or eligibility), NBCOT certification (or eligibility), and bring strong clinical reasoning. New graduates are encouraged to apply for this growth-focused role.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible for New York State OTA license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist OT in procedures and treatments to support safe, effective evaluation and treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and social work for coordinated patient care.
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety and adaptive equipment needs.
• Apply clinical reasoning to meet realistic productivity expectations.
