Job summary

Wadesboro Health & Rehab Center seeks an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to support residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will help return patients to optimal function and guide them through education and independent exercise to maintain progress after discharge.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree, current OTA license, and state licensure, with basic computer skills to use EHR and therapy software. PT/PRN opportunities may also be available.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited college is required.
• Current and valid license granted from the state of employment is required.
• Current and valid OTA license granted from state of employment is required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate software and EHR systems are required.

Responsibilities

• Return patient to optimal physical function within a SNF setting and support goal achievement.
• Instruct patients on maintaining function post-discharge through education and independent exercise under supervision of OT and DOR.

Position Summary:

The primary function of your job return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate the achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals within a SNF setting. Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification, under the supervision of the OT and DOR.

Education/Qualifications:

• Employee must hold an Associate's Degree from an accredited college.
• Must hold a current and valid license granted from the state of employment.
• Current and valid OTA license granted from state of employment.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
