Job summary

Tallmadge Health & Rehab Center seeks a dedicated OT Assistant to help residents regain independence in a skilled nursing setting. You’ll work under the supervision of the OT and DOR to plan and implement therapy goals, educate patients, and support discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited college.
• Current and valid state license.
• OTA license valid for the state of employment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate software including EHRs.

Responsibilities

• Instruct the patient in maintaining function after discharge with education and independent exercise under supervision.

Position Summary:

The primary function of your job return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate the achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals within a SNF setting. Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification, under the supervision of the OT and DOR.

Education/Qualifications:

• Employee must hold an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college.
• Must hold a current and valid license granted from the state of employment.
• Current and valid OTA license granted from state of employment.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
