Job summary

Flagship Therapy in Chula Vista, CA seeks a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will provide rehabilitative treatments under OT supervision, helping geriatric patients regain independence through ADL retraining, activities, exercises and modalities.

We welcome candidates with all levels of OTA experience; a current state license/registration is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Hold a current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities and assistive devices under supervision.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments with the supervising OT in line with practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes to the supervising OT.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT – FULL TIME - SOUTH BAY POST ACUTE CARE – CHULA VISTA, CA

South Bay Cost Acute Care in Chulla Vista, CA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team.

FULL TIME: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $36 - $45/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
