Flagship Therapy in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a full-time position in our in-house rehab program. You will screen and evaluate patients, deliver skilled treatments, and support discharge planning while working within CAPLICO values.

Licensed OT Assistant required; new grads welcome. Pay ranges from $35 to $40 per hour based on experience, with a stable in-house therapy team and diverse geriatric patient population.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to COTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
• Licensure must be current and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care to develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with patient transfers, standing, walking, and use of devices as needed.
• Administer procedures within the rehabilitation plan (manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, wound care).
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries in line with regulatory and clinical requirements.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT – FULL TIME

BROADWAY BY THE SEA – LONG BEACH, CA

Join our team and start making a difference! Broadway by the Sea in Long Beach, CA is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Full Time: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $35 - $40/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
