Job summary

Mercy Health Anderson Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to enhance patients’ daily living and work-related tasks. The OT will assess, plan, and document progress across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings, coordinating with physicians and care teams.

Requirements include state OT licensure (or trainee/temporary), BLS within 30 days, and about 2 years of related experience. The role offers a 24-hour weekly schedule in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice (or trainee/temporary license).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days in some sites).
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and medical history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct patient evaluations and develop treatment plans per protocols.
• Administer OT treatments and create adaptive equipment.
• Develop programs for functional skills, daily activities and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals; participate in care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on home programs.
