Job summary

Mercy Health's Anderson Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to improve patients' ability to perform daily tasks across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings. You will assess, plan, and document progress while implementing therapy per physician referrals.

Responsibilities include reviewing referrals, conducting evaluations, administering treatments, developing functional programs, monitoring progress, and educating patients and families on home procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days for certain facilities.
• 2 years of experience in a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create equipment as needed.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills and daily activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals; participate in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
