Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist for Anderson Hospital. The role covers outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings with emphasis on rehab, functional skills, and daily living activities.

The OT will review referrals, perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and educate patients and families, across 24 weekly hours with shifts including Friday 3p-7p and 7a-5:30p Sat/Sun.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice or eligible for trainee/temporary license.
• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred on hire and required within 30 days for certain affiliates.
• Typically 2 years of experience in a similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create equipment as needed.
• Develop programs targeting functional skills, daily activities and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals; participate in care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
