Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an Occupational Therapist for Anderson Hospital to assess and treat patients across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings. The OT will develop treatment plans based on physician referrals and document progress, contributing to improved daily living and work-related tasks.

Shift details include 24 weekly hours: 3p-7p on Fridays and 7a-5:30p on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in current practice state or eligible for trainee/temporary license.
• BLS certification required within specified timelines.
• 2 years of experience in a similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans per department protocols.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create equipment for individual needs.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills, daily activities, and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals; participate in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
