Job summary

Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital WP is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence after illness, injury, or surgery. You will conduct evaluations, create personalized treatment plans, and deliver interventions addressing mobility, cognition, and functional skills.

You will educate patients and families on self-management, ensure smooth transitions home, and collaborate with the rehab team to optimize outcomes. Ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• 2 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification required by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) like dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and evaluate progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other rehab professionals to plan care.
• Document patient progress and outcomes to measure effectiveness.
• Stay updated on OT practices through continuing education.
