Job summary

Staff Occupational Therapist in Idaho evaluates and treats residents, communicates with families, physicians, and other health team members, and maintains documentation in medical records.

Develops and updates individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence, while supervising COTA and participating in rehab meetings and care conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; state license required.
• Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state; CPR certification if required.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides in resident care.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and residents regarding progress and discharge planning.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
