Syringa Hospital & Clinics seeks an experienced Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, from infancy to older adults. You will plan interventions, document progress, and coordinate with physicians and caregivers in a hospital, outpatient, school-based, or SNF setting.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in OT, successful NBCOT, Idaho state registration and a clear Idaho background check.
The Staff Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services including patient evaluation (infant/child/adolescent/adult, older adult), development and administration of an intervention plan, documentation and communication with physicians and other referral sources, and clinical guidance to non‑professional personnel.
Performs infant, child, adolescent, adult, older adult occupational therapy evaluation and intervention and documents significant findings, goals, plan of care, and discharge planning for inpatients, outpatients, school‑based, and skilled nursing facility patients. Communicates with referral sources as necessary. Intervention is provided in accordance with standards of practice. Accurate and prompt completion of paperwork to ensure efficient handling of medical records. Enters charges appropriately. Provides, recommends, and fabricates adaptive devices or other equipment, and trains patient and family in appropriate use of splints, orthotics, and prosthetics.
Attends in‑service meetings and facility meetings as required. Potentially provides occupational health contracts for local employers.
Experience/expertise in multiple treatment settings preferred.
