Job summary

Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence. The role requires supervising COTAs, coordinating with physicians and families, and maintaining compliant documentation.

Candidates should hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in the state and have or pursue a higher degree in OT. Continuing education is required to maintain licensure and competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required. Masters/ Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Continuing education required per state practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and function.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and aides.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and health team about progress and goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and comply with regulations.
