Job summary

Glendale Transitional Care Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. You will participate in an interdisciplinary team, provide adaptive tools, and conduct home assessments as needed.

Requirements include a California OT license and a degree in OT (BS/MS/PhD). New graduates are welcome; one year of clinical experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available and PTO plus referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Current California OT license.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer OT treatment for neuromuscular/musculoskeletal issues.
• Administer and interpret tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provide direct clinical treatment per plan of care and maintain records.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
