The OT provides evaluation, treatment planning and direct care to residents, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and supports discharge planning with home assessments. California OT licensure is required; new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome
• Current California OT license to practice

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Works within an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains patient record confidentiality.
• Conducts home assessments to support safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
