Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy to residents. The role includes evaluating patients, planning treatments, and delivering direct clinical care within an established plan of care.

Qualified candidates will hold a California OT license; one year of clinical experience is preferred and new graduates are welcome. A sign-on bonus and PTO are offered, with PRN/on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current California license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, and performance.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established care plans.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
