Job summary

Glendale Transitional Care Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and plan treatment for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. You will administer tests, provide direct therapy, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning.

Required: California OT license and a degree in Occupational Therapy; new graduates welcome. A sign-on bonus, PTO and referral bonuses are offered, with a salary of $104,000–$124,800 per year.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/MS/OTD).
• Current California OT license required.
• New graduates welcome; 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
