Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, plan and administer treatments for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. The role requires a current California OT license and a degree in Occupational Therapy; one year of clinical experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome.

Salary ranges from $104,000 to $124,800 per year with PRN/on-call duties and a sign-on bonus. Benefits include PTO and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current California OT license.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per care plan.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge considerations.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
