Vale Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, plan, and administer treatments for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. The role requires a California OT license and a degree in occupational therapy, with a preference for at least one year of clinical experience.

Salary ranges from $104,000 to $124,800 with a sign-on bonus available, and PTO plus referral bonuses are offered as benefits, along with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS, MS, or DPT) required.
• California license to practice Occupational Therapy required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established care plan.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and safe discharge planning.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
