Job summary

Creekside Healthcare Center in California is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and plan treatments for patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. You will administer and interpret tests, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and provide adaptive tools within an established care plan.

New graduates welcome; a California license is required. Salary ranges from $104,000 to $124,800 annually, with a sign-on bonus and benefits like PTO and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular/musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established care plan and participates in an interdisciplinary team.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs and ensures confidentiality of records.
• Conducts home assessments when appropriate to ensure safe discharge.
• Maintains accurate documentation and follows federal guidelines.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
