Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat residents, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and support discharge planning. The position offers a competitive salary range and a sign-on bonus. California licensure is required, with new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities include neuromuscular and musculoskeletal therapy, functional testing, and providing adaptive tools to meet patient needs. PTO and referral bonuses are listed as benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
