Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will work with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to support patients’ functional progress and independence.

The role requires NBCOT certification, an accredited OT degree (BSOT/MSOT), and active state licensure. New grads are welcome, with comprehensive orientation and opportunities for clinical growth and leadership involvement.

Qualifications

NBCOT certification upon hire (renewal optional).
Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT).
Currently licensed/registered in the applicable state; active license required.
One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (ADLs).
Establish, assess, and modify goals that are realistic and measurable.
Oversee and evaluate care provided by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
Chart patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
Assist in evacuating patients when required.
Maintain dependable and regular attendance.
Think clearly with good judgment and collaborate on an interdisciplinary team.
Communicate and coordinate with nursing, therapy, and medical staff.
