Job summary

Okeechobee SNF Operations, LLC in Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan, develop, implement, and direct the delivery of therapy services in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and the facility's policies.

The role requires a valid, unrestricted license, a driver’s license, and familiarity with long-term care regulations. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted license in the state.
• Educational requirements of licensure.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the delivery of occupational therapy services in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Executes OT services following physician’s orders and AOTA guidelines.
• Coordinates facility OT KPIs and reporting.
• Reports KPI outcomes to rehabilitation director for action as needed.
• Develops and implements processes to lead and direct OT services including screening, evaluation, treatment, discharge and documentation.
• Documents resident information for assessments according to facility policy.
• Participates in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss therapy progression and discharge planning.
• Adheres to state OT practice acts and professional standards.
• Maintains safe storage, use and sanitation of OT equipment.
• Promotes teamwork and effective communication within the facility.
