Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care to patients upon physician referral, in accordance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role requires NBCOT on hire, active state licensure, and a BSOT/MSOT; new grads welcome.

You will supervise OTAs and Rehab Aides, document care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire, renewal optional.
• Active license in good standing in the applicable State.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT).
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational therapy treatment plans for patients (activities of daily living).
• Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals.
• Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
