Job summary

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required upon hire; renewal optional going forward
• Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)
• Current active license in good standing in applicable state
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation and kept current during employment

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Liaises with patients, families, support departments to plan patient needs
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Know laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post-acute care
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals, policies, and procedures
• Perform in all competency areas including patient rights and safety and sanitation
• Maintain professional relationships with associates and vendors
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Follow company policies including harassment and compliance training
• Display integrity and professionalism per Life Care’s Code of Conduct
