Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our caring team in Santa Monica, CA. We emphasize a professional, supportive work environment and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary setting.

Salary ranges from $104,000 to $124,800 per year with PRN/on-call duties. A sign-on bonus, PTO, and referral bonuses are available. Requirements include a California OT license and a degree in OT; new graduates welcomed to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with a plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
