Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, work within an interdisciplinary team, and provide adaptive tools to meet patient needs. A California OT license is required, with a preferred 1 year of clinical experience. A sign-on bonus is available.

Salary ranges from $104,000 to $124,800 per year, with PRN/on-call considerations. PTO and referral bonuses are included as benefits. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy required or equivalent.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• California license to practice Occupational Therapy required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Assesses muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Works with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and participates in home assessments when appropriate.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
