Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat residents, developing individualized plans in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities include assessments of strength, ROM and functional needs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring safe discharges. California OT license and 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed. Sign-on bonus available and PTO/referral bonuses offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• California license to practice Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers OT treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment according to an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Makes sure patient records remain confidential and conducts home assessments when appropriate.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupatial Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
