Job summary

Monterey Palms Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT). We offer a salary range of $104,000 to $124,800 for PRN/on-call coverage and provide a sign-on bonus along with benefits such as PTO and referral bonuses.

The role involves evaluating and treating patients, interpreting tests, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and conducting home assessments to ensure safe discharge. California licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• CA license to practice Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, range of motion and functional capacity.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established care plan.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
