Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our clinical team in Santa Monica, CA. The OT will evaluate and treat patients within established plans of care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and help patients regain functional independence.

Qualifications include a degree in OT (BS/MS/OTD) and California licensure; one year of clinical experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current California OT license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan treatment for neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
• Administer and interpret tests for strength, ROM, coordination and endurance.
• Provide direct clinical treatment per care plan and maintain records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provide adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Conduct home assessments to ensure safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
