Job summary

Austill’s Educational Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support school-age students in the Myerstown, PA area for the 2026-27 school year, beginning November 2026. The role provides direct school-based therapy, collaboration with teachers and other therapists, and development of IEP goals to improve fine motor, sensory processing, and classroom participation.

• Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist License.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students (PreK–12).
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success.
• Complete required documentation including progress notes and IEP updates.
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed.

Location: Myerstown, PA Timeframe: 26-27 School Year (Beginning November 2026) Snapshot: Austill's is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR) to work 1 day per week with school age children in the Myerstown, PA area for the 2026-27 school year. Additional opportunities to add to your caseload, if desired! Support/Mentorship: Available.

Job Summary

An Occupational Therapist (OTR) provides school-based therapy services to students from preschool through 12th grade. This role focuses on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation in the classroom through direct therapy, IEP implementation, and collaboration with school teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students (PreK–12)
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success
• Complete required documentation, including:
• Progress notes
• IEP updates and annual reviews
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Support student development in areas such as:
• Sensory integration
• Activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Travel between school locations during the school day (if applicable)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist License
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
