Ascension Living in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patient capacity for independent living, design comprehensive treatment plans, and support safe discharge planning.

This full-time, day schedule role offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, oversight of COTAs and therapy technicians, and opportunities for professional growth within a mission-driven organization.

• Assessment & Care Plan Design: Evaluates patient capacity for safe, independent living skills and formulates comprehensive treatment plans detailing intervention types and frequencies.
• Intervention & Plan Management: Executes and adapts therapeutic plans using appropriate modalities, accurately documenting progress, monitoring outcomes, and consulting specialists as necessary.
• Education, Discharge & Supervision: Instructs patients and caregivers on deficits, adaptive equipment, and community resources while directing safe discharge planning and supervising COTAs and therapy technicians per regulatory standards.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credentialed from the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
