Job summary

Ascension is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to design patient-centered rehabilitation journeys at Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. This PRN role supports the Physical Therapy department with evidence-based interventions and family education to promote independence.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (Master's/Doctorate preferred), Oklahoma OT licensure, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred.
• OT credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision prior to hire (temporary letter accepted).
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Design customized rehabilitation journeys that empower patients to reclaim independence and activities of daily living.
• Lead evidence-based therapeutic interventions addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional barriers for holistic recovery.
• Educate families and caregivers with clear, compassionate guidance for home care.
• Mentor and guide Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and support staff to maintain clinical excellence.

• Mentor and guide Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and support staff to maintain a high standard of clinical excellence and collaborative care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Occupational Therapist temporary letter will be accepted until license is issued.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
