Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a Clinical Staff Physician to lead and deliver high‑quality occupational healthcare at our California centers. You will work under the Chief Medical Officer to guide medical policies and programs and ensure affordable, efficient, and accountable care for business clients, industry partners, and patients.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, team leadership, compliance, and continuous clinical improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Active and unrestricted CA medical license (or license in progress).
• Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice.
• Active DEA registration required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Board certified or board eligible through ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or state board preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spends 100% of time providing direct patient care at the center, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating occupational medicine patients.
• Leads by example, enhancing processes to minimize visit times and improve patient experience.
• Serves as Primary Treating Physician for injuries, coordinating with therapists and specialists to drive outcomes.
• Manages clinicians and support staff and ensures compliance with supervisory physician requirements for PA/NPs.
• Creates a collaborative environment promoting teamwork, quality, and patient safety.
• Works with leadership to implement changes for continuous clinical improvement and efficiency.
• Masters clinical systems for efficient documentation, coding, charge capture and orders.
