Agile Occupational Medicine Staff Physician position in California centers delivers high-quality occupational healthcare under the Center Leadership Team and Chief Medical Officer. You direct medical policies, oversee programs, and ensure affordable, efficient care aligned with Agile's guidelines.

The role involves 100% direct patient care, leadership of clinicians, and collaboration with therapists to improve outcomes, efficiency, and patient experience across centers in California.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license (or license in progress)
• Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice
• Board certified or board eligible with applicable state board requirements
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS and AED certification; ACLS preferred
• NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required or able to obtain within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Spends 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care and leads by example
• Acts as Primary Treating Physician for injuries, coordinating with therapists and specialists
• Manages clinicians and support staff and ensures supervision requirements
• Promotes teamwork, quality outcomes, patient safety, and center collaboration
• Works with leadership to implement clinical improvements and efficiency
• Masters clinical systems for documentation, coding, and charge capture
• Ensures compliance with state practice acts and WC regulations
• Communicates with employers about injuries and changes
• Participates in meetings to improve quality, safety, and center growth
• Maintains relationships with clients and payers with 24-hour responsiveness
• Manages staffing levels and proficiency to optimize patient care
• Supports colleague development and talent lifecycle within the center
• Fosters collaboration, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement
• Promotes center initiatives consistent with other centers
• Seeks budget input and tracks key business metrics
