Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine PC is seeking a Staff Physician to direct medical policies and programs at an assigned Center in California, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. You will ensure high-quality, affordable occupational healthcare aligned with Agile policies and procedures.

The role involves 100% direct patient care in a center, leading by example, managing clinicians, and driving clinical improvements while ensuring efficient documentation and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license (or license in progress)
• Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice
• Board certified or board eligible through ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or applicable board
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS and AED certification; ACLS preferred
• NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Spends 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care and leads by example
• Manages clinicians and support staff and complies with supervisory physician requirements
• Creates a professional, collaborative environment promoting teamwork, quality and safety
• Works with medical leadership to identify changes for continuous clinical improvement
• Masters use of clinical systems to ensure documentation, coding, and charge capture
• Ensures compliance with state practice acts and WC regulations
• Communicates with employers about injuries and clinical changes
• Participates in team meetings to improve quality, safety, and clinic performance
• Maintains relationships with clients and payers and responds within 24 hours
• Manages staffing levels and proficiencies to optimize patient satisfaction and workflows
• Develops colleagues and supports staff career growth
• Fosters collaboration, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement
• Promotes center initiatives in line with other centers
• Provides input to center budget and business metrics
