Job summary

Premise Health in Cleveland, NC is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, to provide care for client employees at our Health Center.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating workers, performing required medical tests, coordinating return-to-work programs, and maintaining accurate health records with strict infection control. Requires RN license in state; minimum 3 years in occupational health; BSN preferred; COHN/COHN-S optional depending on site.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice is required
• Certificate or AS degree in nursing is required
• BSN degree preferred
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on site
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in occupational health or related clinic
• Experience promoting healthy, safe workplaces and return-to-work exams

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence‑based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administrates medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow‑up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned
