Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking an OB Tech to support Labor & Delivery operations. You will scrub in for surgeries, maintain sterile fields, and assist with patient care including antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care under supervision.

Responsibilities include setting up sterile tables, performing counts, sterilizing supplies, and assisting with tests and routine care as needed. A high school diploma and BLS are required; Colorado-specific licensure or surgical tech certification upon

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; refer to CS Addendum and UT License grid.
• Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technician certification upon hire (if not covered by another Colorado license).
• Completion of a Surgical Tech program (preferred).
• 1 year patient care experience in OB/related areas (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Scrub Tech for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications for procedures.
• Performs surgical counts with the circulator before incision, during, and before closing.
• Maintains sterile technique and checks integrity of packages and indicators.
• Prepares and sterilizes supplies and equipment; disposes of sharps and contaminated materials.
• Assists with patient care activities (comfort, hygiene, safety, transport, nutrition, elimination) and well-baby care when needed.
