Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO seeks an OB Tech to support the Labor & Delivery unit. You will assist with vaginal deliveries under supervision, function as a Scrub Tech, and maintain sterile field and supplies.

The role includes patient care tasks, transport, and coordination with nursing and providers to ensure safe, efficient care for antepartum, intrapartum, and newborn patients. Prior OB or surgical tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; refer to CS Addendum and UT License/Certification Grid.
• Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technician upon hire if performing duties under another Colorado license/certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries under RN and provider direction.
• Serve as Scrub Tech for surgical procedures; set up sterile tables and equipment.
• Perform instrument counts with circulator; maintain sterile technique.
• Sterilize and prepare supplies; dispose of sharps safely.
• Provide patient care such as vitals, hygiene, and newborn care as needed.
