Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking an OB Scrub Technologist to assist in Labor & Delivery, Nursery and nursing units under RN supervision. The role involves assisting surgeons, preparing the operating suite, and maintaining sterilization and supply levels to support patient care.

The candidate will scrub, use sterile techniques, and follow nursing processes while providing essential patient assistance and communication with health care teams.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA Surgical Technologist certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must complete 15 hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and outpatient packets accurately.
• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Ensure operating room supplies and PPE are stocked for procedures.
• Position patients correctly and assist Circulator as directed by RN.
• Answer phones and support nursing staff as needed.
