Mary Washington Healthcare seeks an OB Surgical Technologist to prepare Delivery and OR areas, assist the nursing team, and provide patient care under RN supervision. The role requires assisting with patient positioning, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile fields.

The ideal candidate will have formal surgical technology training, Virginia licensure eligibility as a Surgical Technologist or Assistant, and BLS certification.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved formal program to include Operating Room Technology, Surgical Scrub Tech, or Surgical Technology (six months experience preferred); or practitioners who were active before Oct 1, 2022 under transition period.
• Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares Delivery and OR rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment using aseptic technique.
• Drapes patients and assists the surgical team during operative procedures.
• Communicates safe therapeutic care for patient throughout perioperative experience.
• Documents all care provided in the electronic medical record.
