Job summary
Lifepoint Health, Inc. through UP Health System - Portage in Michigan is hiring an OB RN Director. This full-time leadership role leads an OB team at a Level I Maternal Care and Nursery facility, with a focus on high-quality care for mothers and babies and ongoing staff development.
The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus (eligible) and up to $5,000 relocation assistance. Requires Michigan RN license, 4+ years OB/Labor & Delivery, and 2+ years leadership experience; bachelor’s degree
Qualifications
- Current Michigan RN license required.
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in Labor & Delivery and in leadership roles is preferred.
- Certifications: BLS-HCP; NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, STABLE (current or within 1 year).
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate care for OB patients using nursing process.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of clinical services.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives and PI activities.
- Serve as a resource to staff on patient care, flow, and clinical standards.
- Coordinate staff scheduling, education, and evaluations.
- Educate patients, especially related to Labor and Delivery.
